lunch
I love the east side of Providence. Tea in Sahara has the best coffee and a glorious menu with sandwiches like brie, apricot jam and caramelized onions on focaccia. Here is their Harira soup made with chick peas, lentils, tomatoes and spices.

Good glee from art by Kelly and J. Spencer Shull. They make silly plush toys and pillows as well.

magic man
Is it his magic fingers or his magic mind that puts all the girls in a trance? In the latest batch of cards for friends of The Public Domain Review, a theatrical poster for a show of the magician Harry Kellar, 1894. Really excellent stuff!

on the way

So nice to drive through Maryland today
and come back to see friends in Pipersville, PA
and stay overnight in the cozy little two room cottage again. It has one sink, one trash can, and one bar of soap, so simple and lovely.
and Susan Roseman and eating very well while getting a new batch of Susan's cards ready for the world!
