stage and screen
My friend Joey Perillo will be on the Golden Globes tonight! His costar in the movie Philadelphia is getting the Cecil B. DeMille award. Joey has been in a bunch of tv shows and movies such as Homicide and Hairspray, and he's starting his acting classes again next weekend. If you have any thespian ambitions and live anywhere near Yardley, PA or Trenton, NJ, I highly recommend you get in touch with this wonderful and talented person today!
Happy Birthday Mom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you need an eight inch piece of purple string, my mom either has it, will make it, or knows just where to buy it, and she'll go to great lengths to help you get it. If you're scurrying around in a panic needing it as you're running out the door, she goes into supermom mode and helps supply you in a pinch, plus she'll throw in a bag of cheese and crackers in case you get the nibbles later! She makes delicious addictive dips and tells fascinating stories with millions of details about all the people she has ever met, she has an incredible vocabulary of old and new words and a beautiful singing voice with an amazing harmonizing ability that makes music parties extra special, and she takes great photographs and is very handy, always working on creative projects that turn a house into a lovely home. She taught me to love cats and nature, thrift shops and antiques, and interesting stories with clever twists. My mom can read a book a day, and I love this photograph of her reading at four years old. Happy birthday Mom!
