Rx

This is one of the most brilliant, funny, and adorable toys I've ever seen.  The Medical Kit made by Build-A-Bear Workshop has soft, fuzzy, bendable equipment sized for tiny bodies to play with.  What better tools to teach children sympathy and empathy!

Funny 4/20

I dug out this old card game that was a going away present from some friends in Alaska half a life ago. Each player is a drug dealer and sells weed, all the while getting busted, busting other players, getting out of jail, making side deals, and getting high.  The game is well designed, and the cards are so funny and pleasing.  My friends told me there is one card missing--"Utterly Wiped Out" meant you lost everything you had plus two turns.  Someone thought the game was more fun without that card, and I have to agree!

A Romantic Enters the World

I found this old t-shirt from high school and still love the funny drawing by Richard Stine.

sweet and yummy

My aunt, Martha Farrar, is a fabulous cook and baker.  Every year she makes lollipops using antique cast iron molds from the early 1900s that were used by my great-grandmother, Sarah Jane Johnston.  Auntie Martha uses a basic recipe of sugar, water, food coloring, and flavoring to make translucent lollipops in the delicious flavors of orange, lemon, licorice, peppermint, raspberry, strawberry, and root beer.  The steamy and sticky process results in beautiful, fun-to-eat, long-lasting lollies.
Thanks to Dan for all the pics!

What We Do in the Shadows is lots of fun

What We Do in the Shadows is the best movie I've seen in years; I laughed from the first moment to the last (there is even a funny gag after the credits)!  I highly recommend not viewing the trailer, completely trusting me, and immediately running out to see this movie.  It's a comedy about vampires and that's all you need to know.  The trailer gives away too many fun bits, but if you're really curious and that doesn't bother you, here it is:

shower show

Peregrine Church and his friends love nice pranks, and they leave rain-activated messages and art all over Seattle to make people smile.
