Deliciously Dark

To continue the theme of looks-like-it's-for-kids-but-it's-not,
here are some more clever creations that crack me up.
The Gashlycrumb Tinies is a morbidly funny alphabet by the
amazing Edward Gorey.  My brother Chris had this poster in
his room in college, and I thought it was the coolest thing ever.

Mister i is a wordless book filled with pages of strips
by Lewis Trondheim.  Mister i loves pie and it gets him
killed over and over again in many sick and silly ways.

Tiny Town is a brilliant zine penned by Aubin Carlson.  Also
wordless, its three silhouetted clown characters perfectly
express their distinct personalities and depraved ways.

Doll Face comics

Sam Marlow is a funny and talented illustrator and animator from New York.  He's the Background Supervisor for season 4 of Superjail! on Adult Swim and always has a lot of other freelance projects going on as well.  His creation Doll Face is a unique comic series about two blow up dolls who are addicted to porn and have "a couple of holes in their relationship."  Sam modeled the dolls after himself and his girlfriend, Nikki, and they're drawn well with clean lines and colored with clever shine marks on the plastic skin.  There are so many funny scenes about vices and underlying motivations, and I love the crazy tangents--the story is constantly veering off into someone's imagination, the future, or a parallel universe.  Sam thinks up ideas during the week and digitizes them on the weekend, posting new comics most Mondays for your giggling pleasure.  Here are a few snippets from some of his comics.
