Exceptional art of John Vernon Lord

John Vernon Lord is a Professor of Illustration at University of Brighton.  He has illustrated stories from Aesop's Fables, nonsense verses from Edward Lear, Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and The Hunting of the Snark, his own book The Giant Jam Sandwich, and much more.  There are multiple levels of charm in every picture, with funny characters, beautiful textures, and interesting compositions.  JVL has a prolific portfolio from a long career in illustration that he shares one amazing drawing at a time nearly every day on his blog:

Camouflage

My nephew, Eric Helgesen, took this photo for an assignment simply titled "Camouflage" in his high school photography class.  His solution is brilliant, and no Photoshopping was involved.  He loves his Canon Rebel XS with 18-200mm lens, and you can see more of his photos here:
Eric takes a lot of pictures of cars and road racing, and now he is starting to drive in RallyCross races himself!
